Kansas center Hunter Dickinson isn’t one to shy away from the spotlight. He talks big and plays big – which is one of the reasons why he was chosen by Barstool Sports’ college basketball insider and podcaster Marty Mush to interview and visit with for a behind-the-scenes look at Allen Fieldhouse.

Mush came to Lawrence recently to speak with Dickinson – whom he fondly refers to as “big bastard” – before KU’s matchup with TCU earlier this month, which turned out to be an exciting contest that the Jayhawks won 83-81.

He and Dickinson spoke in the KU locker room about his transition from Michigan to Kansas (among other things) before heading out on the court to talk about the gameday environment.

Mush made a joking comment saying he would “crumble” quickly playing in a place like Allen Fieldhouse, which Dickinson responded to by saying, “The first time I played here, I was a little nervous. I never had so many fans supporting me.”

Later on in the video it shows Mush visiting with fans at a local Lawrence bar to get their thoughts on the Kansas big man and Allen Fieldhouse.

“I didn’t like him that much but now that he’s on our side … he’s incredible,” said one fan.
