Top 10 all-time rebounders in Kansas Jayhawks basketball history
The Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball program is one of the most storied in history. Who are the best rebounders to play at KU?
By Joel Wagler
No. 5: Eric Chenowith, 933 rebounds, 1997-2001
Chenowith wasn't as good of a scorer as some others on this list, and he wasn't as good of an all-around player, but he was with the Kanas basketball program for four full years. He played in 139 games, and started 89 of them.
He scored 1,281 points and blocked 242 shots, including 78 as a sophomore. He averaged 6.7 rebounds a game to reach his 933 total rebound mark. In his second season at KU, he recorded 301 rebounds.
He didn't pull in a lot of awards or accolades as some of the other players on this list did, but he was a steady player for Kansas for four years, a force on the boards and in the lane defensively. To be top five on any statistical list for Kansas is a fantastic accomplishment.
