No. 1: Danny Manning, 1,187 rebounds, 1984-1988
Did you think this list was going to end with any name other than Manning's? Probably not, and for good reason. It is a neck-and-neck discussion as to who is the best Kansas Jayhawk ever - Manning or Chamberlain.
Manning was a two-time consensus first-team All-American and a National Player of the Year. He was also an NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and played in two Final Fours. He was also a National Champion.
He is the all-time leading scorer and rebounder at Kansas. He scored 2,951 points, averaging an amazing 20.1 a game. He scored 854 more points than LaFrentz, who was in second. His 1,187 rebounds were one more than Collison recorded. He averaged 8.1 over his career.
He also tallied 342 assists, 250 steals, and 200 blocks. Manning played in 147 games at Kansas, starting 146 and winning 113. He was a tremendous all-around player. He played 15 years in the NBA, averaging 14.0 points and 5.2 rebounds.
There are some incredible players on this list and Kansas basketball fans are sure to remember all fondly.
