Predicting which Kansas basketball players leave or stay with Jayhawks next season
A number of Jayhawks have an important decision to make this offseason
F Zach Clemence - Transfer
Clemence entered the transfer portal last offseason and committed to UCSB, only to call Bill Self back up and ask him for a spot on the team. He redshirted this year to maintain a year of eligibility, supporting his teammates from the sidelines.
There was a point in time when Clemence seemed like he could eventually be a contributor for the Jayhawks, but that ship has sailed. Assuming Dickinson and Adams return, Kansas will have those two along with incoming freshman Flory Bidunga and a potential transfer portal addition.
He was let back onto the team to get his mind in the right place, but Self typically uses seven or eight guys in his lineup, and there is no world where Clemence becomes a mainstay in next year's rotation.
