Predicting which Kansas basketball players leave or stay with Jayhawks next season
A number of Jayhawks have an important decision to make this offseason
G Jamari McDowell - Transfer
McDowell showed some flashes in his freshman year at Kansas, hitting some big threes and playing crucial minutes early in the season. His role began to diminish as the year went on, and he was phased out of the lineup during some games.
With incoming freshman Labaron Philon entering the mix, it is hard to see where McDowell will fit in next year. As I mentioned in the previous slide, I expect Kansas to add a combo guard in the transfer portal, perhaps even two. The Jayhawks clearly need someone who can make their own shot on the offensive end. It is in McDowell's best interests to go portaling unless he is willing to wait for an opportunity.
