Players in the NCAA transfer portal that the Kansas Jayhawks have reached out to
Now that the Kansas basketball season is over, it is time to start looking at players the team is targeting in the portal. Here are each of the transfers the Jayhawks' coaching staff has reached out to.
G Jayden Stone - Detroit Mercy
2023-24 Statistics: 26 G, 20.8 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.5 SPG, 42.2% FG, 2.4 3PM, 31.2% 3PT
Stone spent two years at Grand Canyon before transferring to Detroit Mercy to have a more featured role in the offense. Now, he is in the portal as a grad transfer. He has struggled with injuries throughout his collegiate career, appearing in 15 games or less in each of his first three seasons.
He is a volume scorer who put up a lot of shots for a bad team. Not to discredit any of his accomplishments, Detroit Mercy was the worst team in Division I this year, finishing the season at 1-31 and 1-19 in conference play. Fans might want to take his statistics with a grain of salt.
