G Ja’Kobi Gillespie - Belmont

2023-24 Statistics: 25 G, 17.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.2 APG, 2.2 SPG, 56.1% FG, 1.6 3PM, 38.7% 3PT

Gillespie is an uber-talented guard who hit the portal after two seasons of college ball. The sophomore from Belmont is uncharacteristically efficient for a guard, shooting an unreal 66.0% from inside the arc and 73.0% at the rim, good for 94th percentile in NCAA Division I.

In addition to his elite offensive numbers, he was an All-MVC Defensive First Team honoree this year. If Kansas is looking at mid-major guards, Gillespie is likely at the top of its list, though it would be difficult for the 6-footer to take minutes away from Harris.
