Players in the NCAA transfer portal that the Kansas Jayhawks have reached out to
Now that the Kansas basketball season is over, it is time to start looking at players the team is targeting in the portal. Here are each of the transfers the Jayhawks' coaching staff has reached out to.
G Gibson Jimerson - Saint Louis
2023-24 Statistics: 33 G, 15.8 PPG, 2.9 RPG, 2.1 APG, 39.9% FG, 2.4 3PM, 35.9% 3PT
Jimerson shares a strikingly similar amount of traits with Nick Timberlake, who the Jayhawks added via the transfer portal last season. He is entering his sixth year of collegiate basketball as a grad transfer and is a combo guard who does most of his damage from beyond the arc.
His field goal and 3-point percentage dipped to a career low this season with the Billikens, though he did still lead his team in points per game. If Bill Self has learned his lesson, he will stay away from another inefficient mid-major guard who has not performed against high-level competition.
