AVOID - C Clifford Omoruyi, Rutgers

2023-24 Statistics: 32 G, 10.4 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 0.5 APG, 2.9 BPG, 51.2% FG

The rim-protecting big man was scheduled to meet with the KU coaching staff on Zoom this week, but he is nothing more than a contingency plan for Hunter Dickinson. He is a paint presence who would not pair well next to the Jayhawks' star center due to his limited skill set offensively. Additionally, 5-star recruit Flory Bidunga should see some playing time in his freshman year.

After starting 98 consecutive games at Rutgers with one year of eligibility remaining, Omoruyi will want a role that provides him with extended minutes. Assuming Dickinson returns to Kansas for one more year, which appears to be the most likely scenario, there is no spot for him to contribute in the capacity that he would like to.
