With over 1,000 college basketball players currently searching for a new school in the transfer portal, every school will have its fair share of swings and misses on players they want to bring in. However, Bill Self and the Kansas basketball team have already added two highly-ranked guards from the portal.

Because KU's coaching staff knows that it will happen eventually, they are still looking at players who they can add to next year's roster.
While dozens of transfers have been linked to Kansas, there are a few who have more buzz than others. In the following slideshow, we will list five players that the Jayhawks have ties to, but we will also make a case for why two of them should not be prioritized by KU.
