There is some tremendous talent in the transfer portal, but not every player is a good fit

With over 1,000 college basketball players currently searching for a new school in the transfer portal, every school will have its fair share of swings and misses on players they want to bring in. However, Bill Self and the Kansas basketball team have already added two highly-ranked guards from the portal.

The Jayhawks currently have zero open spots on the roster due to a self-imposed scholarship limit, but a couple of players will inevitably leave for the NBA Draft or enter the portal. Because KU's coaching staff knows that it will happen eventually, they are still looking at players who they can add to next year's roster.

While dozens of transfers have been linked to Kansas, there are a few who have more buzz than others. In the following slideshow, we will list five players that the Jayhawks have ties to, but we will also make a case for why two of them should not be prioritized by KU.
