Tier 2: Baby Jays

6. Jamari McDowell

Jamari had a solid night in his 10 minutes of action. Jamari was 2-for-3 from the field, did a nice job moving the ball, and played solid defense. McDowell ended the night with six points, three rebounds, one assist, one block, and no turnovers.

7. Nicolas Timberlake

Nicolas had a solid floor game outside of another poor shooting night that saw him go 2-for-8 from the field and 1-for-5 from three. Timberlake saw lots of action and played 25 minutes on the night. Outside of his poor shooting, Nicolas was very active attacking the boards and making hustle plays and the effort and energy were there. Timberlake filled the stat book to the tune of seven points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one turnover.

8. Parker Braun

Parker came in to spell Hunter and gave 10 decent minutes. Parker missed his only shot attempt but rebounded the ball well, moved the ball on offense, and played solid defense down low. Parker has had a solid year in playing his role on this team. He finished with no points, six rebounds, one steal, one assist, and three turnovers.

9. Walk-Ons

With the Jayhawks tending to have to grind out more games this, year we have seen little of the walk-on reserves that work hard in practice to help make our scholarship players better. It was good to see a couple of them get in and have success. Jankovich came in and the sniper did what he did, drilling his only 3-point attempt of the night. Wilder Evers finished off an alley-oop and had a rebound in his two minutes.
