No Show: Kansas Jayhawks basketball player ratings from A to Z in loss at Houston

The regular season came to an end today. Unfortunately, it looked like the Jayhawks thought it had already ended. Houston just absolutely blasted Kansas basketball 76-46, embarrassing the Jayhawks in the regular season finale.

It was never close, as the Cougars jumped out early and never relented. At halftime, KU trailed 40-21. With the game out of reach and effort never really there, the starters played little in the second half. Kevin McCullar did not play at all in the second half and Hunter Dickinson hurt his shoulder and did not return.

It was a terrible showing by the Jayhawks. Not surprising, considering they haven't shown up on the road all year. KU finished the regular season 22-9 and 10-8 in Big 12 play. This is the worst conference record of any KU Bill Self coached team. This team is trending to finish with the most losses in the Bill Self era, as twice his teams have lost ten games.

I came into the week with some optimism after watching KU put it on K-State on Tuesday. I thought this team could get hot and make a run in the NCAA tourney. The reality is this team is very flawed and has been all year, and our two most important players are battling injuries at the wrong time of the year. This is looking like it will go down as the worst team in the KU Bill Self era.

Tier 1: Big Jays

None. Not surprisingly, when you got destroyed by 30, there are not a lot of high performers for the game.
