Kansas baseball outfielder Chase Jans hasn't had the best year at the plate despite posting a stellar .314/.386/.531 slash line as a sophomore. While he has struggled to get it going with the bat, he is still one of the best defensive players in the Big 12 with his glove.

Not only did Jans knock in four runs and hit his first home run of the 2024 season, but he made an otherworldly highlight reel play. He has been featured on SportsCenter's Top Ten plays four times in his career, and this catch against Texas Tech should give him another.

Catches like these are nothing new for Jans, who has made himself into a human highlight reel over the past couple of years. He jumped over the wall in left field to complete the grab, losing his hat in the process and keeping his composure.

After securing a 4-3 victory the night before, Kansas secured the series win with an 11-2 rout of the Red Raiders with Jans' tremendous performance. The Jayhawks now sit at 24-15 (11-9 Big 12) on the season in HC Dan Fitzgerald's second year as skipper.
