Kansas football: Best prop bets and predictions for Jayhawks bowl game vs. UNLV
Bowl season is here, and we will finally be able to watch our Kansas Jayhawks for the first time in over a month tomorrow night. Lance Leipold's team is in Phoenix, Arizona, to play the Guaranteed Rate Bowl against the UNLV Rebels.
It should be a shootout between two high-octane offenses on the big stage. There are some great prop bets for fans to snatch before the game starts, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Devin Neal — First TD Scorer (+450)
This prop is probably your best bet if you want to gamble a small amount for a great return. Neal has scored eight touchdowns in the past four games and was the first TD scorer in two of them. He can explode for long gains and has become the primary goal line back with Daniel Hishaw Jr. generally out of the mix. You won't find something more likely to happen at +450.
Lawrence Arnold — Over 57.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Arnold leads Kansas in receiving yards on the season with 650. He has accumulated 68 or more yards in four of his last six contests, and it would be smart to bet on him doing it again. Although KU is a run-first offense, Arnold is a serious downfield threat and can rack up big plays in a hurry. Jason Bean is throwing the ball better than he ever has, and his favorite target is the 6-foot-3 wideout.
Jason Bean — Over 23.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
While Jason Bean has only hit this number in four of his seven full games this year, he is arguably the fastest quarterback in college football. The speedy signal caller had two long touchdown runs against Cincinnati and finished with 90 yards on the ground. Boise State quarterback Taylen Green — who only had 346 rushing yards in the regular season — also had 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns against UNLV in the MWC championship game. The Rebels are prone to allowing big plays to opposing quarterbacks. Take this bet with confidence.
Jason Bean — Anytime TD Scorer (+175)
While you're at it, add Bean's +175 anytime touchdown. If he does surpass 24 rushing yards, he is likely to do it in one play. Watch out for him on read options on the opponent's side of the field.
UNLV Spread — +13.5 Rebels
Kansas is heading into the game without several key contributors on both sides of the ball and hasn't taken the field in over a month. We have seen the Jayhawks start off slow on several occasions in 2023, and it wouldn't come as a surprise if the same happened tomorrow. This should be a high-scoring affair that should be closer than some oddsmakers believe.
