Tier 3: No Jays

5. Johnny Furphy

Johnny looked a little rattled on the offensive end in Manhattan. The Wildcats did a good job of limiting his open looks. Johnny continued to take care of the basketball as he was the only starter not to have a turnover on the night. He averages only 0.5 turnovers a game and has 15 games he has not turned the ball over, including the last three games. The 3-ball wasn’t falling Monday night, as he missed all four attempts. Johnny finished with four points, four rebounds, one assist, and no turnovers.

6. Parker Braun

Parker came in and spelled Hunter and gave 10 decent minutes. Parker did not take any shots and did a solid job on defense and rebounding. However, he had two costly turnovers. He finished with no points, four rebounds, and two turnovers.

7. Elmarko Jackson

Elmarko only got five minutes of action in Manhattan. He didn’t make a big impact and, as a result, only got some spot minutes. Elmarko finished with two points on 1-for-2 shooting and had no turnovers.

8. Nicolas Timberlake

Nicolas played six minutes and did not take a shot. He had two rebounds which were his only stats on the night. The bench continues to get little opportunities and has made minimal impact most nights.

9. Jamari McDowell

Jamari played the last five seconds in overtime with the game already essentially over, as Self looked to save his starters from a potential court storm that did not happen. Jamari took a deep three at the buzzer and missed.
