The Kansas football program direly needs Jalon Daniels to stay on the field in 2024. With no experienced backup like Jason Bean sitting behind him anymore, it is paramount that he avoids injuries and can compete at a high level all season long.

There have been many questions about Daniels by fans and media, but he is participating in 11-on-11 drills and expects to be ready for the regular season. Yesterday, the team practiced at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, where the Jayhawks will play their first two home games of the season amid stadium renovations at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. Daniels was seen lightly tossing before he ran off to complete more drills.

"It feels like my child self back out there again, honestly, just being able to play ball again. Happy to be back with the guys. Happy to be able to make some plays. Happy to go see some young guys out there making plays as well."

While the video doesn't show Daniels doing extensive work, it is always a good sign to see videos of him progressing. Each day, "JD6" continues to ramp up his workload and get better. He has apparently focused on his health more than ever this offseason. If he can remain healthy, the 2024 Kansas football season will be a special one.
