If you enjoy playing sports-based video games, you're probably as psyched as I am for EA Sports College Football 25 to come out during the upcoming summer. It has been a long time coming, considering a college football video game has not been released since July 2013.

EA released a trailer yesterday which sent millions of Americans into a frenzy. Things are expected to be much different with the addition of NIL, which should allow the company to use player's names rather than just numbers like they did in the past.

To commemorate the long-awaited confirmation of the video game, we at Through the Phog decided to predict each Kansas football player's ratings.

While I don't entirely recall how some players were rated in past games, I do remember Kansas running back James Sims being an 88 overall. Therefore, I'll do my best to fit the ratings according to EA's standards, though they might be much different this time around.

QB Jalon Daniels — 92 overall rating

Jalon Daniels is arguably a top 10 offensive player in college football when active. The question is whether he can stay on the field and avoid injuries. He only appeared in three games last season due to a lingering back injury that held him out for the majority of the year.

Despite his struggles with physical health, Daniels' talent is undeniable. He has a tremendous arm and can scramble out of the pocket to make some incredible throws. The redshirt junior has 3,579 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and eight interceptions since 2021 and should be one of the highest-rated players in the game.

I do believe he'll fly under the radar for his standards because he could be in the 96-98 range based on talent alone. Regardless, 92 would be a solid rating for Daniels, and I'd expect his throw power and throw under pressure attributes to be sky-high.
