College Football 25 gives Jayhawk fans sneak peak of renovated Kansas football stadium
The Kansas football program has been trending upward since Lance Leipold accepted the head coaching position in 2021. The Jayhawks and AD Travis Goff have begun to prioritize football in Lawrence, so much so that the university began a $448 million renovation project to enhance the team's stadium and facilities.
While the stadium is not finished yet, EA Sports' College Football 25 decided to include a new feature in the highly anticipated video game in its most recent patch. They decided to render what the finished product is expected to look like based on architectural plans and early design concepts of the new and improved David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

As the renovations continue to move along, KU will play its home games elsewhere in 2024. That didn't stop the game's developers from designing it in the game. It looks awfully similar to the renderings that were released around this time last year.
This approach allows players and Jayhawk fans to experience the future of Kansas football as envisioned by the university. For Kansas supporters, this inclusion is particularly exciting — it offers a glimpse into the future of the program and the environment in which the team will compete in the coming years.
The days of empty bleachers and embarrassing football are no more. Leipold has taken the Jayhawks to unprecedented heights, and the team is even expected to compete for a Big 12 title this season. It is a testament to not only the game's dynamic nature but the increased recognition of the Kansas football program by the media.
Granted, it might seem weird that the game is introducing a stadium that won't be ready until late 2025 (at the earliest). An option to play at Arrowhead Stadium or Children's Mercy Park for the 2024 season in Dynasty mode would have been awesome. Regardless, KU fans who play the game will take what they can get — it's a pretty cool addition.
