BYU vs. Kansas Prediction, Odds and Key Players for Tuesday, Feb. 27 (Lay it with Jayhawks)
By Reed Wallach
Kansas has battled injuries all season, but that hasn't stopped the Jayhawks from racking up wins, especially at home.
With No Kevin McCullar Jr, who has been dealing with a leg injury, Kansas blitzed Texas at home over the weekend and is favored in a similar fashion against BYU on Tuesday night. Can the Jayhawks continue to outperform expectations despite leaning on its depth?

BYU vs. Kansas Key Players to Watch
BYU
Jaxson Robinson: Robinson scored 15 points against Kansas State, but struggled from the field, making only one of nine three-point attempts. This is a potent BYU offense with Robinson being as consistent as it gets, so will he bounce back from a poor shooting game? He is shooting just 28% in conference play after shooting north of 37% in nonconference play.
Kansas
Hunter Dickinson: With McCullar set to miss another game with a nagging leg injury, Dickinson will need to continue his high level of play. He is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds and will face a BYU defense that has been torched by big men all year in Big 12 play. The Cougars defense has fallen off and Dickinson may be in for a big effort.
BYU vs. Kansas Prediction and Pick
Again, no McCullar will be a hit to the Jayhawks' depth, but the team was able to rally and blowout Texas at home. While BYU may be able to create more issues for Kansas with its off-ball movement and perimeter attack, I don't believe the team will be able to hold up at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Cougars stayed on the road after losing to Kansas State on Saturday, and its road woes are well documented. BYU is 355th in Haslametrics away from home rating, which will be emphasized on the road at Kansas, which bolsters one of the most effective home-court advantages in college basketball.
Further, BYU's defense is vulnerable in the paint, outside the top 300 in near-rim field goal percentage allowed this season. With Dickinson down low, the Jayhawks are sixth in the country finishing around the cup and should be able to get easy buckets against the visitors on Tuesday.
I do believe BYU will have some answers on offense, the team is fourth in effective field goal percentage in Big 12 play, but the defense is of utmost concern on the road, and Kansas should be able to pull away and cover at home.
PICK: Kansas -6.5
