After missing four of the past five Kansas basketball contests, the leading scorer in the Big 12 will attempt to play today for the Jayhawks when they take the floor against Baylor. Bill Self told the College GameDay crew that, "He's going to try to go."

"He's practiced the last two days, has been as close to full speed as you can and been pain-free," Self continued. "We're going to see what he can do today."

McCullar is averaging 19.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in his final year of college eligibility. He has missed five games during the 2023-24 season due to a bone bruise in his knee, an injury he reaggravated when he played vs. Oklahoma last month.

It has yet to be determined whether McCullar will jump into the starting lineup or if Nick Timberlake does. The last time he played while not at 100%, he tweaked his knee again. Hopefully, his appearance today marks the end of the saga between him and Coach Self.
