1. A score-first combo guard who can create his own shot

Regardless of your opinion of Dajuan Harris, he is undoubtedly one of the best facilitating point guards in the country. He controls the tempo of the offense and serves as the quarterback of the offense.

But Kansas had very little success from its other guards (Jackson, Timberlake) on the offensive end, and Harris often had to take far too many shots than his game was meant for. That is when we saw this squad begin to crumble. Let's aim for Harris to get back to what he excels at next year.

When the team gets into offensive slumps, which is inevitable for any group at the college level, KU needs a player who can silence a crowd or end a run by burying a tough shot off the dribble. Someone who can bail the Jayhawks out if the shot clock is running low and they can't get a full offensive play in.

By no means does this current roster need the next Frank Mason III or an All-American caliber player, but they must add a bona fide shot-maker who can be relied on down the stretch.
