Kansas reeled in one of the best high school classes in the country this season, adding 5-star center Flory Bidunga and 4-stars Labaron Philon and Rakease Passmore. However, Jayhawk fans know Self often prefers experienced veterans over his first-year players.
Bidunga is the most likely to receive an expansive role as a freshman, but Kansas is also looking for big man depth in the portal. Can KU trust its freshmen to provide solid minutes off the bench going into the season? The same question goes for McNeeley and whether Kansas is willing to give him extended minutes as soon as he enters Lawrence.
