Kansas basketball has one of the most complete rosters in the country, meaning Bill Self can shuffle the starting five multiple ways this season. He emphasized the importance of depth during the offseason after the Jayhawks had the worst bench output since he took over as head coach.
Last year, there was one spot in the starting lineup that was occupied by Johnny Furphy or Elmarko Jackson. Aside from Nick Timberlake filling in for an injured Kevin McCullar, there were hardly any questions about which players would start.
