G Kadary Richmond, Seton Hall

2023-24 Statistics: 35 G, 15.7 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 5.1 APG, 2.2 SPG, 44.1% FG, 0.5 3PM, 27.0% 3PT

Richmond has not been publicly linked to Kansas yet. However, he is undoubtedly one of the best players remaining in the portal. He was Seton Hall’s best player for multiple years and is looking to finish his career at a new school.

The New York native possesses many of the traits former Kansas guard Kevin McCullar had. Richmond is a physical, gritty on-ball defender who often guards the opposing team’s best player. He excels at getting into passing lanes and stripping the ball-handler, as evidenced by his lifetime 1.9 steals per game mark.

He would give the Jayhawks more flexibility at power forward. His defensive versatility would make him a tremendous asset on the floor. Jayhawk fans have seen in the past that Coach Self likes two-way wings that will get stops for him on the defensive end.

If Richmond is willing to take on a less featured role than he had at Seton Hall, Kansas could be a perfect landing spot for him. Adding him would make more sense if Riley Kugel does not follow through with signing his letter of intent to play at KU.
