Jamari McDowell

McDowell showed flashes of potential as a freshman, bringing intensity to the court and knocking down some big 3-pointers. However, he had a short leash with Coach Self and received limited playing time. That won't change next season with Dajuan Harris back and the additions of two transfer guards and 4-star recruit Labaron Philon.

Upon assessment, McDowell's minutes will be restricted next year and could be the two seasons after that. Coach Self continues to recruit over him, which likely isn't a good sign. He might stick it out at KU and fight for a spot, but it's difficult to tell with how prevalent the transfer portal has become.
