When Kansas sophomore Flory Bidunga announced his intentions to hit the transfer portal while also entering into the NBA draft process, the immediate worry became “how do we replace him, and how do we make sure we never have to go against him again?”

Well, since Bidunga has entered the portal, the locations that have been deemed as possible contenders have varied all across the nation.

The early Texas Tech bid

On Monday, out of nowhere, the former stalwart was predicted by 247Sports to land with Grant McCasland and the Red Raiders. This likely would have served as the worst-case scenario, seeing as both Texas Tech and Kansas serve the Big 12, meaning the two parties would meet at least once this season, possibly even more.

This prediction has since been removed

Louisville takes charge

Early Friday afternoon,  Louisville was handed an expert prediction for Bidunga. While the Cardinals were always a contender, naturally, with some of the powerhouses Bidunga was originally considering, Louisville fell slightly to the wayside.

Like with Texas Tech, this prediction has been taken down

The final Blue Devil Blow

As of publishing, the former five-star is now predicted to land with Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils, according to Rivals.com. Duke holds a slight 53.3% chance of landing Bidunga.

This perfectly lines up with Bidunga’s alleged visit with Duke set to take place.

What are you getting with Bidunga?

Above all, whoever ends up with the former All-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year is getting one of the nation’s best defenders, period. Bidunga’s impressive range allows him to cover every inch of the court, and his improved ability to avoid foul trouble makes him highly coveted.

It doesn’t hurt to note that Bidunga’s 2.6 blocks per game ranked him as the nation’s fifth-best shot blocker. His seven blocks in Kansas’ 71-59 win over Utah finished as his season-high.

His offensive finesse around the rim could use some work; however, his 64% field goal rate still does show he is an efficient scorer when needed.

As of writing, Bidunga is currently rated as the nation’s top portal prospect; however, Santa Clara’s Allen Graves just hit the portal and will likely overtake Bidunga.
