The Kansas football team will try to continue their momentum on the road when they face TCU on Saturday. Kansas came from behind against Baylor, then secured their victory with a blocked field goal for their first Big 12 win of the season.

The Jayhawks did plenty of things right against the Bears, including resurrecting their running game. They produced 209 yards on the ground against a defense that held TCU to just 33 rushing yards the week before. On a whole, KU outgained Baylor with 421 yards of total offense compared to 358 for the Bears. KU won the first-down battle too, gaining 24 to Baylor's 16.

KU blocked three kicks, although two still made it through the uprights, all by Blake Herald. The last one, a game-saving block, didn't even make it to the goalposts. The Jayhawks were five-for-eight on fourth-down attempts, breaking a conservative tendency of head coach Lance Leipold not to go for it on fourth down very often.

The Jayhawks will need more of the same against TCU, while continuing to clean up the little miscues that have prevented them from winning in the past.

Phoggy Notes

- Quarterback Isaiah Marshall showed some improvement, completing 17 of his 29 passes for 212 yards, though he did overthrow one wide-open receiver that would have been a touchdown with a better throw. Later that same drive, he threw high in the end zone. It could've been caught, but a better throw would have made for an easier catch. He also threw two interceptions, though one, a pick-six, appeared to have been a route mistake by the receiver. He also threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, which turned out to be the game-winner.

CAN'T MISS: ALL-TIME LEADING PASSERS IN KU HISTORY

- Dylan Edwards had a big day, running for 158 yards on a hefty 30 carries. Edwards has been a workhorse in recent games and has been a big part of the Jayhawks' success in the running game.

- Late addition transfer Chase Belcher saw his first action in a Kansas uniform, gaining 24 yards on six carries.
