The Kansas basketball team will make their 2026 Big 12 tournament debut Thursday against the TCU Horned Frogs. The two teams clashed in Allen Fieldhouse in early January. The Jayhawks needed overtime to complete a frantic comeback to secure a 104-100 victory.
In the first matchup, Darryn Peterson knocked in 32, and Tre White added 22 in the win. TCU was paced by Liutauras Lelevicius, who drilled five of his seven three-point attempts on the way to 23 points.
Kansas must play much better defense this time if they hope to win. TCU shot 35 threes in that first game, making 15, so KU will have to guard the perimeter closely.
The Jayhawks need to win this game if they hope to have a three or four seed. A loss against TCU could drop them to a fifth seed.
