The second of the Kansas basketball team’s three games in the Players Era Festival is against the Syracuse Orange.
The Jayhawks have played the Orange six times, winning three. Their biggest matchup was in the 2003 National Championship game, when Syracuse edged out KU, 81-78.
It will be interesting to see how both teams react to back-to-back games. During Darryn Peterson’s three-game absence (so far), head coach Bill Self has played a lot of people, and KU might be in a good situation to go deep into the bench in games two and three to battle any fatigue.
