The Kansas basketball team is set to continue one of the best rivalries in college sports when the Jayhawks play the Missouri Tigers.
The rivalry was interrupted after the 2011-12 season when Mizzou defected to the SEC. It was renewed in 2021, and KU won the first three matchups before falling to the Tigers in Columbia last season.
Kansas holds a decided edge in the series, which began in 1907. The Jayhawks have 176 wins with 96 losses. KU is 8-2 over the last 10 outings.
At the time of this writing, it is unknown whether or not Darryn Peterson will play, but the freshman guard’s presence would be a massive boost for the Jayhawks.

Projected Kansas starting lineup vs Mizzou
As usual, Darryn Peterson’s health will determine the starting lineup. Until he actually plays, KU fans shouldn’t count on him being in the lineup.
- Melvin Council Jr. - 10.9 points per game
- Jamari McDowell- 3.9
- Tre White - 13.7
- Bryson Tiller- 8.9
- Flory Bidunga - 15.2
If Peterson does go, he will most likely replace Jamari McDowell in the lineup. There is a chance that slumping Bryson Tiller could also come off the bench upon Peterson's return.
