The Kansas basketball season was derailed over the past few days as the Jayhawks lost badly to both Arizona and Arizona State. KU has to regain the form that led to an eight-game winning streak early this season, but they are quickly running out of time.
Kansas has one more regular-season game left. KU welcomes Kansas State to the Phog for Senior Day, and it is suddenly a must-win for the Jayhawks. KU cannot afford to stumble against the second-worst team in the Big 12 conference.
The seniors who are playing their last game in the Phog are Melvin Council Jr., Tre White, Jayden Dawson, Nyginu Ngala, and walk-ons Wilder Evers and Justin Cross. It is certain that Darryn Peterson will not return either.
This group of seniors still has a chance to do something special this season, and they need to turn things around against K-State and build up some positive momentum heading into the postseason.

Projected Kansas starting lineup vs. Kansas State
Self has mentioned that he will start five of his six seniors. Here is the best guess on who will get the nod on Saturday.
- Melvin Council Jr.
- Jayden Dawson
- Tre White
- Justin Cross
- Wilder Evers
The best guess is that Ngala will be the one who is left out because he has played very little and not been in the program very long.
