The Kansas Jayhawks earned their ninth win of the season on Tuesday night against Towson. It was the Jayhawks' third consecutive win and their sixth in their last seven outings.
KU was once again without guard Darryn Peterson, this time because of cramps in his quadriceps. It is hoped he can go against Davidson, but he is day-to-day, and it's not clear when he'll play again. .
Peterson’s teammates picked up the slack and cruised to a 24-point win, and several Jayhawks down the roster saw valuable playing time. Bill Self and his staff would be thrilled if they could get these players minutes again against Davidson.
Davidson, from the A-10 Conference, is the last non-conference opponent for the Jayhawks. KU would love to enter Big 12 play with 10 wins after a rugged schedule thus far.
