Who saw that coming? The Kansas basketball team looked fantastic on Tuesday when it thrashed the previously undefeated, number-two team in the nation, Iowa State, 84-63. The game was never close.
The Jayhawks need to carry that momentum into their matchup with Baylor on Friday and use it as a springboard toward greater things as the season moves forward.
This performance is what fans have been waiting for all season. The Jayhawks shot 50 percent from behind the arc and 51 percent from the field. They played inspired defense, forcing eight steals. It was a thing of beauty.
Now, KU needs to bring that energy and performance level again against Baylor.
