The Kansas football team struggled against the Missouri Tigers in its second game of the season and hopes to jump back into the winning column against the Arizona State. The Sun Devils match the Jayhawks with a 1-1 record after blistering Morgan State, 70-7, and getting roughed up by Texas A&M, 48-20.

This game marks the first time the Kansas football has traveled outside the United States for a game. This game is in London. While the locale makes this game special for the players and the Big 12, this is a conference game, and it is imperative that the Jayhawks bounce back from their poor showing against Missouri.

While it is too early to label this game a must-win for Kansas, the team can ill afford dropping to 1-2 so early in the season. This is a winnable game, and KU needs to get off to a good start in the conference.

Kansas vs. Arizona State: Where and when

The Union Jack Classic between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Arizona State Sun Devils will be played in London, England, in the famous Wembley Stadium. Kansas vs. Arizona State: Where to watch

The Union Jack Classic featured the Jayhawks, and the Sun Devils will be broadcast live by FS1 and can be streamed on FuboTV (subscription required).

Kansas vs. Arizona State: Early betting odds and lines

The Jayhawks are 6-point underdogs in London. The money line has KU at +180 and ASU at -220. Both teams have played in two high-scoring games, but the oddsmakers at BetMGM do not seem confident in either offense and have set the over/under at 50.5.

Kansas vs. Arizona State: What will the weather be like in London?

Fans and players alike should enjoy pleasant weather throughout the game. According to Weatherbug, by kickoff, temperatures should be in the low 70s, with a nice breeze and partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of rain, but it shouldn't hit until late in the game, if not after. Humidity could be a factor, though it won't be worse than what the KU players deal with every day. It might affect the Sun Devils slightly more.

3 things the Kansas football team needs to improve

No. 1: Get the running game going

Kansas struggled to run the ball against Missouri. KU gained just 81 yards on 38 carries. Those numbers won't be good enough in the Big 12. Running the ball effectively should take pressure off the passing game.

No. 2: Isaiah Marshall accuracy

Quarterback Isaiah Marshall was all over the place last Friday. Most often he was high on his deliveries, but he also missed wide open receivers with throws behind them and too low. He needs to work on developing better accuracy on throws quickly.

No. 3: The pass rush

Kansas didn't record a single sack against the Tigers and often allowed their quarterback a clean pocket from which to survey the field. The Jayhawks weren't good covering downfield, but with no pressure on the quarterback, the defensive backfield frequently had to hold their coverage too long, and occasionally they failed. If KU can disrupt ASU at the point of attack, things should go better.

Leroy Harris III is the only defender applying consistent pressure, and he needs help from everyone on the defensive line and the linebackers for KU to be better on defense.
