Houston vs. Kansas Jayhawks betting/spread
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Kansas is a 5.5-point favorite over Houston. You can take KU's spread odds at -112 or Houston's at -110. The Jayhawks are -192 moneyline favorites, while the Cougars' moneyline sits at +160. FanDuel Sportsbook has the same 5.5-point spread and a slightly different moneyline, favoring KU at -210.
Houston vs. Kansas Jayhawks prop bets
There are several prop bets to choose from on DraftKings. We will list the ones we believe are best to put money on. Willie Fritz moved on from Donovan Smith and turned to Zeon Chriss under center, who led the Cougars to an upset win at TCU. Their rushing attack has been firing on all cylinders and KU's defense has struggled as of late. We predict there will be plenty of yards gained on the ground today. Pair any of these prop bets for a shot to win big on your parlay.
Jalon Daniels OVER 200 passing yards (+130)
Zeon Chriss OVER 60 rushing yards (+185)
OVER 23.5 total points first half (-105)
Joseph Manjack IV OVER 30 receiving yards (-120)
Jalon Daniels OVER 17 rushing yards (-120)
Houston vs. Kansas Jayhawks over/under
The over/under on the contest is 46 points. The Jayhawks have surpassed that total four times in six games this year, while Houston has done so once in 2024. However, Kansas' offense has improved as of late and the defense has begun to slip. UH scored 30 points on TCU in its previous contest. We vote to choose the over on this meeting between two bad defenses and potent rushing attacks.
Houston vs. Kansas Jayhawks prediction
The Kansas football offense has shown significant improvement, scoring 28, 27, and 31 points in its last three outings. Jalon Daniels avoided turnovers for the first time all year in the ASU game, while Devin Neal continues to shine. Daniels has the luxury of throwing to a deep group of talented wide receivers. However, the defense has been a weak link, and that must change today.
This game is arguably the best chance for Kansas to win a conference game for the remainder of the year. Coming off a bye week well-rested, Lance Leipold and his group should be able to pull a victory off during homecoming, even if they start off slow due to rust.
Final Prediction: 34-23, Kansas
