Kansas football is off the back of two convincing wins. A 31-7 week zero win over Mountain West side Fresno State was assuredly followed up by a 46-7 win against FCS side Wagner, to ensure Lance Leipold’s team was going smoothly with a massive game against Missouri in just a few days time.
Now, one of the unfortunate talking points from Friday’s win over Wagner was the absence of linebacker Bangally Kamara. Kamara had a great debut against Fresno State the week prior, but was not dressed Friday evening, and it was later revealed why, by Leipold
“Bangally suffered a non-contact injury in Thursday's practice, and his status will be unknown for a while.”
Today, Leipold spoke with the media, but beforehand, reports caught a glimpse of the week two depth chart, which had some missing pieces.

The first player Leipold spoke on was punter Finn Lappin, who did not participate against Wagner.
“Finn was just held, he had a tweak of something…he was limited today, so we'll see where that goes for the week.”
Next was the highly-touted Kamara, and offensive lineman Jack Tanner.
“He [Bangally] did not practice today. That's my update, okay.” Marked Leipold, “Jack Tanner did not practice today as well, so they're not on the depth chart, so you can probably figure where that's trending for both.”
Tanner is a transfer from Tulsa, where, as a freshman, he saw nine games, before transferring to Kansas in mid-December, after being rated as a .8600 three-star transfer according to 247Sports.
Kansas will feel the hurt with either of the two playing against the SEC side, especially Kamara, who was the highest-rated transfer out of the portal that Kansas had landed.
The Jayhawks will be taking on Missouri this upcoming Saturday at 2:30 PM CT in what is bound to be a tense affair between the two sides that have not met since 2011.
