Foster started all 12 games at center for the Jayhawks in 2024, paving the way for 211.4 rushing yards per game and allowing just 10 sacks as a unit. Earlier this month, Foster was named to the Outland Trophy Preseason Watch List
In Foster's first season at Kansas, the former Texas A&M Aggie had earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors.
At Texas A&M, Foster was heralded as a rising star, having started 28 games and being named to the 2021 SEC All-Freshman Team, 2021 FWAA Freshman All-America Team, and the 2021 The Athletic Freshman All-America First Team.
Heading out of Taylor High School in Katy, TX, Foster was hailed as the 89th-best player in the class of 2021, where he was touted as the 15th-best player in the state of Texas and the 6th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the nation.
Coaching Foster is offensive line coach Daryl Agpalsa. Last season, Agpalsa's offensive line allowed just 47 tackles for loss (3.92 per game) in 2024, ranking 13th nationally and second in the Big 12 Conference, paving the way for Kansas' all-time leading rusher in Devin Neal. Agpalsa coached three Jayhawks to All-Big 12 honors in 2024, including Logan Brown, Mike Ford, and Foster.
Foster is one of many recent Jayhawks nominated to a number of lists. Jalon Daniels was added to the 2025 Walter Camp Player of the Year preseason watch list, which includes 46 total players. Daniels is one of just 37 offensive stars in the country to make the list and is the only Jayhawk to do so this year.
Running backs Daniel Hishaw Jr. and Iowa transfer Leshon Williams have each been selected to the Doak Walker Preseason Watch List.
The Athletic subscription required lists Hishaw as the No. 21 player on the "College Football Freaks list." Hishaw's brute strength, combined with his strong pass block ability, is going to make him a threat to watch out for.
