Former Kansas Jayhawk Noah Shelby has confirmed his transfer to Texas A&M, according to The Athletic.

Shelby was a four-star transfer as a part of the 2024 transfer class that saw the fellow four-star additions of AJ Storr, Rylan Griffin, and Zeke Mayo, a class that was ultimately touted as the 3rd-best transfer class in the nation.

Shelby transferred from Rice, where, as an Owl, Shelby averaged just over 11 minutes, where he totaled almost four points a game with nearly a rebound and an assist to follow suit, with double-digit games three separate times.

Yet, making the move to Kansas didn't see the success either Shelby or Kansas wanted.

Last season, Kansas fell to the seventh-seed in the NCAA Tournament, with a first-round 79-72 exit to Arkansas in the cards, as the Jayhawks held a 21-13 regular season record, but just saw an 11-9 conference record push them to a Big 12 quarterfinal before being eliminated by Arizona.

Shelby took a redshirt that season and did not see any game time before transferring out in early July.

Shelby is a part of an interesting core that has followed their way from Lawrence, Kan, to College Station, Tex.

Shelby joins former Kansas players Zach Clemence and the aforementioned Griffen to join new A&M head coach Bucky McMillan.

Clemence averaged five minutes in his redshirt junior season before going down with a season-ending injury just eight games into the year. During his shortened season, Clemence marked a season-high four points in Kansas' 76-63 loss the Creighton in the Big 12-Big EAST Battle.

As for Griffen, the Alabama transfer averaged 20 minutes a game, where he totaled averages, including six points to go with a stubborn 41 three-pointers made, which ranked 3rd-best among Kansas players. Griffen's season-high was 17 in a double-overtime loss to the Houston Cougars that saw Kansas fall 92-86 to the eventual national runner-ups.

As McMillian is welcoming a transfer portal class filled with three former Kansas players, expect to see a possible production increase from all three.
