The Kansas basketball team is 2-2 in Big 12 play and 12-5 overall, with two great wins at home and two not-so-great losses on the road.

Darryn Peterson has played in all four of these games but hasn’t finished any of them. Still, he's scoring more than 20 points a game.

Against the undefeated Iowa State Cyclones, KU looked as cohesive as they have in any game in which Peterson has played. There was great ball movement, and the scoring was much more spread out, with four players in double figures and three more with eight apiece.

Hopefully, the Kansas performance against the Cyclones will be more of how they will play going deeper into the season and less that it was just a one-off fantastic game.

The Jayhawks do have several players who can score, so if they learn to complement each other, there is sti ll a lot of unrealized potential for them as a team. It’s possible the best is yet to come for KU this year.
