Kansas basketball player grades: Ranking Jayhawks two weeks into the season
Which Jayhawks have performed the best?
AJ Storr: B+
2024-25 Stats: 10.0 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 0.3 SPG, 53.1% FG, 1.3 3PM, 50.0% 3PT, 50.0% FT
Things have been looking up since Storr looked lost in the two preseason games. He gets to the rim with ease and offers an element of shot-creating that prior Kansas teams lacked. There’s still likely a window this season where he joins the starting rotations, but it remains to be seen when that will be.
Rylan Griffen: B
2024-25 Stats: 8.0 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 0.5 BPG, 41.7% FG, 2.0 3PM, 44.4% 3PT, 66.7% FT
While Griffen is shooting a career-high percentage from beyond the arc, he is still looking to become comfortable within the offense. He has primarily been a catch-and-shoot player, so it’d be encouraging to see him try to create more opportunities.
