Kansas basketball player grades: Ranking Jayhawks two weeks into the season
KJ Adams: C+
2024-25 Stats: 10.0 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 2.3 APG, 0.5 SPG, 1.0 BPG, 55.2% FG, 66.7% FT
Aside from a strong first half against North Carolina, Adams has looked out of sorts early in the season. He is not effective on the boards and is averaging a career-low in points and boards since becoming a starter. On a positive note, his ball-handling skills have significantly improved and he is not turning it over.
Dajuan Harris: B+
2024-25 Stats: 7.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 1.5 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 52.4% FG, 0.0% 3PT, 1.000% FT
The stats aren’t too pretty, but Harris came up big in the second halves of the UNC and MSU games. Those performances alone earn him a high player grade. While we’d still like him to be more aggressive offensively, his veteran leadership and ability to pace the offense are direly needed on this roster.
