Jalon Daniels finished his Kansas career as one of the best to ever do it for a program that has been anything but a football school.
Daniels left Kansas with 9.982 passing yards, 67 passing touchdowns, 31 interceptions, and a 61.5% completion rate.
On the ground, Daniels adds an extra 1,445 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns.
Throughout all the ups and downs in his career, Daniels earned a chance to prove himself on an NFL roster, and minutes ago, according to Tom Pelissero on X, he was given that chance.

Daniels’ up-and-down last season
Last season was an odd one for the Lawndale, California, native. For the first three quarters of most games, Daniels was consistently on target and able to connect on deep passes for an offense that averaged 211 passing yards per game, good for 88th in the nation. Yet in most fourth quarters, something about his game, and Kansas’ offense in general, fell very flat.
When looking at redzone rates in general, the Jayhawks posted the 124th-worst mark in the country, hitting on just 71.79% of drives inside the 25, paltry numbers to say the least.
In general, Kansas’ scoring offense ranked 68th in the country at 26.5 points per game.
Now, by no means was it all Daniels’ fault; the Jayhawks’ wideout room was completely revamped, and an unhealthy running back corps only threw more weight onto Daniels’ shoulders, yet with so much potential shown in Daniels’ early seasons with the Jayhawks, last Fall did feel like a slight disappointment.
Daniels ended the 2025 campaign with 2,531 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Daniels adds 404 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
