Kansas basketball has been extremely busy this offseason. Bill Self hit the transfer portal running, bringing in guards Jayden Dawson and Tre White to patch up the backcourt. However, the Jayhawks still have six open scholarships to fill, and with top recruit Darryn Peterson joining the squad, the staff is trying to build the best supporting cast possible.
Whether it is adding depth behind big man Flory Bidunga or finding more reliable scoring in the backcourt, Self is keeping his options open. One of those options is Xaivian Lee, a guard from Princeton who is one of the top names in the portal. According to On3's Joe Tipton, Lee is making an official visit to Kansas this weekend after already taking a trip to St. John’s.

Xaivian Lee the latest player to visit Kansas basketball
A 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard, Lee is a native of Toronto, Canada. He has one year of eligibility remaining and plans to spend it at a new university.
The former Princeton star averaged 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game last season. Lee knocked down two threes a game and hit them at a 36.6% clip, making him a respectable threat from deep. His all-around production helped earn him two All-Ivy League selections during his time with the Tigers.
Out of 30 possible games last season, Lee scored in double figures in 26 of them. Furthermore, he posted a pair of triple-doubles, which are practically unheard of at the collegiate level. He led the team in points, assists, and finished second in rebounding.
If Lee joins the Jayhawks, it will make for a crowded but exciting backcourt. With Dawson, White, Elmarko Jackson, and Jamari McDowell all looking for minutes alongside Peterson, nothing is going to come easy. Still, Lee’s versatility and experience could make him a solid piece for the new-look Kansas basketball roster.
