Full guide to Big 12 men's basketball tournament: Kansas in search of title No. 13

The Jayhawks are hoping to win title No. 13 in the Big 12 Tournament, but some stiff competition stands in their way.

The college basketball regular season is coming to a close fast, and the Kansas Jayhawks are close to a regular-season title. Bill Self needs a win against Arizona on Saturday to make things interesting in the end, but a tournament title could be the bigger picture in all of this.

While Kansas is already a lock for the NCAA Tournament, a Big 12 Tournament title could improve their seeding with the committee, maybe moving the Jayhawks from a three-seed to a two-seed. Kansas hasn't won a tournament title since 2022, but they lead all teams in the Big 12 with 12 championships in the tournament to this point.

The Big 12 Tournament will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, at the T-Mobile Center yet again this season, a nice car ride for the Jayhawks. Both Kansas and Kansas State get to benefit from the closeness of the tournament, but it doesn't always give them a leg up.

The tournament will take place starting March 10 and run through March 14 with a large slate of games. Here is the schedule of how the seeding will work out:

First Round: Tuesday, March 10
