The college basketball season is coming to an end in days, but for most teams, it ended a little while ago, and for some players, so did their college careers. For some very talented freshmen, they have the decision of sticking with their school or heading to the NBA, and for most of them, they are choosing the pro route.

Darryn Peterson certainly is, even though an official announcement has not come out; no one expects the potential No. 1 overall pick to stay in Lawrence for another season. However, he may not have the title of No 1 overall pick according to some people in the sports world, but for former NBA star Evan Turner, he believes Peterson has earned the title.

"No. 1, I am taking my man Darryn Peterson, I am taking him for sure," Turner said. "Everyone screams about the cramps, but he would leave those games with like 20 points and only play half the game."

Evan Turner believes Darryn Peterson has the mindset to play at the next level

Even with the injury problems in his freshman season, Evan Turner believes Peterson has the right mindset to take care of his body for the NBA. While Turner believes Dybantsa could take the No. 1 spot as well, and it is close between the two star freshmen, Turner loves the shooting guard in the NBA right now.

With the talent in the NBA, Turner believes that Peterson's smaller size and ability to score are what give him the edge over Dybantsa, who may not have the ability to play outside on a wing or beyond the three-point line.

Peterson will be able to be that guard waiting on the wing for a big shot and help the team score in a hurry with big numbers. There is no denying Dybantsa's talent, but Peterson right now edges him out in Turner's mind.
