Former Jayhawk Zeke Mayo was recently signed by Ironi Kiryat Ata of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, according to their Instagram.

Mayo only spent one year with the Jayhawks, where he earned a 2025 All-Big 12 Third Team nomination, all while hitting 89 threes, which led Kansas, ultimately culminating in a 42.2% mark from beyond the arc.

The South Dakota State transfer totaled a career-high 27 points in a 62-61 loss to the West Virginia Mountaineers, just before the turn of the year. That day, Mayo notched a 6-13 shooting split with 13 free throws made.

Overall, at Kansas, Mayo made an instant impact during his short stint. Mayo averaged 14.6 points per game, nearly five rebounds, and three assists, to his 2.5 turnovers per game.

Fans of The Basketball Tournament have seen Mayo continue his rise as he was a key part in the JHX Hoops side, a team that featured a number of former Kansas stars, including Mayo. With the JHX Hoops, Mayo put up 11, 14, and 12 points over their three-game stay in the TBT. Yet, those numbers get marred by the 15 turnovers he was listed at fault for during the tournament

At South Dakota State, the former Jackrabbit tallied 15.5 points, three assists, and almost five rebounds per game.

Mayo was a part of a core that underwhelmed as the Jayhawks exited the NCAA Tournament in the first round against John Calipari's Arkansas side in a 79-72 loss. During that night, Mayo led all Kansas scorers with 18 points on an exceptional 5-8 night from the field, to combine with six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and four giveaways.

Mayo showed in his limited time at Kansas that he is a legitimate point scorer; he usually kept his shooting percentages in check, all while flexing his ability to eat up rebounds at just 6-4. However, it is clear to see why his stock may have fallen a little bit, his turnovers. Mayo was consistently on the wrong end of the scoresheet due to giveaways, but if this is something that can be turned around in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, then Mayo could make a run in the NBA.
