The Jayhawks are coming off a big win over Baylor during homecoming weekend, making it the fifth straight year Kansas secured a victory with the alumni base in town. While the football program has not been the most successful for quite some time now, the Jayhawks could build some momentum in Fort Worth this weekend.

Kansas is set to take on TCU in a game where the Jayhawks are surprisingly a fairly big underdog. After starting out as a 5.5-point underdog, the line has slightly moved more in favor of the Horned Frog to 6.5. This could be due to the possibility of quarterback Isaiah Marshall not playing after being downgraded to questionable on the Thursday injury report.

Marshall has started all seven games for the Jayhawks, and while he hasn't been the sharpest quarterback at times, his rushing ability is what helps the offense the most. Without Marshall, Kansas will have to rely on running back Dylan Edwards, who has been the workhorse for the Jayhawks this season, to lead the team on the ground.

TCU's defense will simply be too much for the Jayhawks to overcome

The Jayhawks are coming off an electric game against the Bears in which special teams stepped up in a major way with two blocked kicks, one coming on what would have been a game-winning kick for Baylor. With an emotional win like that on homecoming weekend, it will be tough for Kansas to hit the road, especially in an environment like Fort Worth.

While TCU hasn't had its best season either, its home-field advantage is one of the best in the Big 12. It won't be easy to step onto that field and pull off what would be an upset by the standards of the betting line.

The other thing Kansas has to worry about is this TCU defense, which ranked No. 1 in the Big 12 in opponents' points per game and opponents' yards per game. Especially if Lance Leipold is without his starting quarterback, the Jayhawks will have an uphill battle against this stout defense.

Hopefully, the Jayhawks can carry some momentum with them from the Baylor win to help keep this game close, but if it comes down to defensive play, unfortunately, I have to give this one to the Horned Frogs to make the final stop.
