It looks as if things are finally beginning to click for the No. 19 Kansas Jayhawks. By no means was Tuesday night's 75-69 win over the Colorado Buffaloes a landmark victory that will go down in the historic annals of Kansas basketball, but for an away Big 12 game without head coach Bill Self, any result that ends in a win will be gladly taken.

Of course, it helps when your squad is littered with elite talent like Melvin Council Jr., Tre White, Flory Bidunga, and Darryn Peterson. All of which notched double-digit points.

While Peterson endured one of his worst nights, scoring 16 points on 15 shots, he still wrote himself into the Big 12 history books as he became just the third player in conference history to score at least 15 points in each of his first 10 games.

How electric has Peterson been this season?

When Peterson has been on the court, he has produced several show-stopping appearances, including six appearances with 20+ points. The freshman’s ability to glide to the rim, stop on a dime, and pull up with ease has made the game move in slow motion.

Peterson’s career-high thus far came in Kansas’ 104-100 win over TCU, where the former five-star notched a mind-boggling 32 points in a game where Kansas fell behind by as many as 16. Peterson’s last three points came to tie the game at 87 with his crucial free throws.

The biggest thing about Peterson’s game is his efficiency. Very rarely does the freshman waste shots, and you can see that as his lowest field goal rate this season is still a decent 35.3% mark, which Peterson has hit just once this season. The Prolific Prep alum is sitting at a 49.3% rate from the field this season

The next chance for Peterson to get back on track is against the Kansas State Wildcats in what will be a highly-anticipated Sunflower Showdown set for this Saturday, with tipoff set for 7 p.m. CT and streaming available on FOX.
