It was a feel-good game yesterday in Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas football team comfortably defeated Houston 42-14 during homecoming. The Jayhawks had yet to win a conference or FBS game all season, so it was a much-needed feeling for Lance Leipold and Co. after an abysmal start in 2024.

While the offense was firing on all cylinders, a player on the defensive end single-handedly kept Houston's passing game in check. Senior cornerback Cobee Bryant had the performance of his life, catching three of KU's four interceptions and leading his team to victory.

It was an unreal day for the Preseason All-Big 12 First Team selection. He caught picks on the Cougars' first and last drives in the first half and even kicked off the second half with another interception. The ball kept finding his hands no matter where he was.

His three interceptions tied a Kansas football all-time record. The only other player to do so was Bill Crank in 1958. Bryant has cemented himself into Jayhawk history, and he tied his career-high total with four on the year.
