Bo Ogden is a name Kansas fans may want to be on the lookout for over the coming months.

Ogden according to 247Sports' Brandon Jenkins, the Austin (Texas) Westlake High native has included Kansas inside his final six schools.

Ogden sat down and discussed the prospects of Kansas with 247Sports.

"I think I'm going to visit them in the middle of September. They've had a lot of guys like meβ€”Ochai Agbaji, Christian Braun, and Gradey Dick. They've done well developing bigger guards and getting them to the NBA. That's ultimately what I want to do."

As it stands, Ogden is set to sign somewhere in November, and different places list different thoughts. For example, recruiting giant On3 sees Purdue as the No.1 spot for Ogden, as Purdue was listed with a 50% chance. Followed neatly behind by UVa with a 43.8% chance. Kansas is listed with a 1% chance however, being in the final six could shake up the Jayhawks' chances.

Ogden stands at 6-5 and is the No. 49 recruit in the nation according to 247Sports.

Towards the end of the interview, Ogden said something worth noting that could be interesting to Kansas fans.

"'The biggest theme with all these schools is fit,' Ogden said. "'That's the most important thing. I also want to come in and play early. I want to develop and make the league one day. And last, I obviously want to have a good relationship with the head coach."'

How will Kansas use its incoming recruits to attract players like Ogden? Look no further than the development of Darryn Peterson. If Bill Self can get the freshman phenom playing well early, before Ogden signs to a school, then Peterson could help bring in a load of high-level players like Ogden.

It helps that Kansas is taking on three dominant names in college basketball in their first nine games, as the Jayhawks must take on the University of North Carolina, Duke, and the University of Connecticut. If Peterson can excel in those early games, how many recruits could buy into Bill Self?

Last season, Kansas reeled in the 15th-best class in 2025 with Peterson headlining the core. Another few Kansas stars to look out for are Kohl Rosario and Corbin Allen. Rosario stands just an inch shorter than Ogden, and both could play at the same position. Meanwhile, Allen comes in at the same height as Rosario.
